Radial Printmaking
Students took inspriation from intricate Islamic tiles, recognizing patterns and motifs. They created a design on half a square and then traced it onto the other side.
Students impressed their designs into a styrafoam printing plate. They printed their design on a oil pastel background they made before. They rotated their printing plate to make sure the print showed rotational symmetry.
